Performathon
Saturday, April 4, 2009
Time and Location TBA
The Performathon is a marathon recital. Students and faculty members of Suburban Music School perform in recitals throughout the day, scheduled every hour on the hour. There is time to rehearse before each recital and refreshments to enjoy afterwards. The Performathon provides our students a great opportunity to perform in a public recital. This event is also an important fundraiser for the School. Performers collect sponsors from their family and community (just like a Bowl-a-thon or a Walk-a-thon) to raise money for the school. The School depends on contributions to keep tuition as low as possible, to offer scholarships to students, and to provide community services like outreach programs, student recitals, and other performances. This day-long celebration of music also features door prizes, a bake sale, a bouquet sale and more!
