Clarinet Ensemble
TBA
The clarinet ensemble is an opportunity for participants to gain valuable small ensemble experience in a comfortable, friendly environment. Intonation, blend, breathing, counting, phrasing and ensemble dynamics are some of the elements that will be explored over six weeks, in addition to basic clarinet techniques throughout. Participants should be at an advanced-intermediate to advanced level to fully benefit from and participate in the experience. In the first session, participants will sight read selected works in order to determine accessible and desirable music for those enrolled. Parts will be sent home with participants for practice so that the following week, rehearsal can begin. Selections from the clarinet quartet repertoire (doubling parts) will most likely be used depending on the number of participants. Auxiliary clarinets may be used if participants have access to them.

Playing in an ensemble is an enriching, wonderful way to enjoy making music on your instrument and improve and advance your overall musicianship. A finely tuned clarinet ensemble sound is a beautiful thing!

Come and try it out! Registration is open! Call Suburban Music School today at 610-566-4215 and mention “Clarinet Ensemble”. Looking forward to seeing you there!
